Another Castleford Tigers player has tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total following Monday's derby at Leeds Rhinos to 13.

Another Castleford Tigers player has tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total following Monday's derby at Leeds Rhinos to 13.

Tigers' Betfred Super League game at Huddersfield Giants, scheduled for tomorrow (Friday), was called off yesterday after 12 players returned a positive test result.

Two results were inconclusive and one of those has now come back positive following a retest.

Four Rhinos players are self-isolating after being identified as close contacts with at least one of the Tigers players who tested positive.

The Castleford players who returned a negative result face two more tests over the coming days.

An RFL statement said: "Results from this week’s testing for Covid-19 have been received from 10 of the 11 Betfred Super League clubs, plus match officials and other relevant staff.
