Yet 15 years ago on this day, Creswell was just three years old as dad Richard proved the star in a 3-0 win against Championship visitors Sheffield Wednesday.
Playing against his former side, Cresswell struck twice in the final nine minutes to finally end the resistance of the Owls who fell behind in the 70th minute as captain Paul Butler headed home a Jonathon Douglas cross.

Hide AdCresswell then doubled the United advantage when heading home a Gary Kelly corner in the 82nd minute and the striker bagged his second with one minute left when finishing Simon Walton's low cross.
"That's the dream for everyone," said Whites boss Kevin Blackwell.
"To play against your old club and be man of the match with a couple of goals."
The victory ignited a ten-game unbeaten run and Blackwell's side lost only three more games on their way to a fifth-placed finish and the play-offs.

Hide AdDefeat to Watford in the play-off final followed and the wait for top-flight football would go on for another 14 years.
Now, though, it is Cresswell's 18-year-old son who will be looking to star for the Whites in the Premier League - yet by keeping goals out rather than tucking them away like his dad.
