A shambolic first half display gifted Brighouse Ladies a 2-1 victory over Farsley Celtic Ladies and passage into the next round of the West Riding Women's League Plate.
Leanne Smith scored twice in the opening 45 minutes and all Farsley could muster in an improved second half performance was an 86th minute goal from Stephanie Farley.
Without a full game under their belts for four weeks, the Celts got off to the worst possible start on four minutes.
A corner was cleared, but the ball found its way into the box for a second time and Smith was able to guide the ball past keeper Michelle James.
It took until the 40th minute for Smith to score her second of the afternoon.
Farsley failed to clear and Smith finished from close range for the decisive goal.
A half-time telling-off was in order and clearly the message got through as Farsley came out for the second period like a different team.
Hayley Hare came close with a header and Farley fired wide as the final 20 minutes approached.
Farsley were rewarded for their efforts in the 86 minutes and it set up a frantic last few minutes.
Cheryl Sawyer's shot cannoned back off the post and Farley smashed home from close range.
There was to be no equaliser though and the league now takes full priority as the Ladies look to achieve promotion in their inaugural season.
