Boss John Decaey says tension gripping Farsley Celtic on the season's last lap is their biggest enemy as they attempt to save themselves from the drop.
Deacey was speaking after watching his side fall to a fourth successive defeat against Forest Green at Throstle Nest.

The Celts have been cruelly hit by injuries and suspensions over the last few weeks.

But Deacey refused to make that an excuse for the latest defeat. He said: "The players looked tense. They didn't look relaxed on the ball and that has to change.

"I am not blaming injuries. I am just blaming it on the performancesof a few people who were below average and it cost us."

Deacey was especially disappointed by his team's sloppy defending for the opening goal on 23 minutes when a corner from Alex Lawless was
headed in by unmarked former Bristol Rovers defender Mark Preece.

"We started poorly and it was an absolutely garbage goal to concede," said the Farsley boss. "We had been working on set-pieces from about 11 o'clock to 12 on the morning of the game but that didn't work, did it?"

The defeat saw Farsley drop to third-from-bottom, one place behind Halifax Town.

"We have to get something out of the remaining two games. It is as simple as that. We still have a fighting chance," said Deacey who is hopingknocks picked up by Simeon Bambrook and Rory Prendergast won't rule them out at York.

The Celts almost equalised five minutes into the second half when Lee Tuck's header was clawed round a post by keeper Terry Burton whothen tipped Prendergast's shot over.

But more poor defending brought Forest Green's second goal in the 69th minute when Stuart Fleetwood's ball into the goalmouth was turned in by Paul Stonehouse who was immediately substituted.

Fleetwood contrived to miss an open goal and home keeper Curtis Aspden pulled off excellent saves from Fleetwood Ishmael Welsh and Lee Dodgson to keep the score down.

Substitute Colin Heath went close for Farsley with a neat shot on the turn with two minutes left, but Burton denied him with an agile save.

Mark Jackson (ankle) will miss the York game but could be back for Grays.
