Farsley Celtic Foxes U-9s win West Riding Girls cup final

Farsley Celtic Foxes U-9s secured a league and cup double after beating Batley 6-0 in the final of the West Riding Girls Football League cup final.
The early exhanges between the two teams proved a highly competitive affair with Farsley goalkeeper Tamika Fenty called into action on more than one occasion.

Farsley began to settle as the game progressed and a double strike from Bethany Padget in five minute spell helped settle the nerves all round.

Farsley took a 3-0 lead into half time thanks to a goal from the impressive Demi Wisher.

Batley came out in the second half very strong and played some excellent football.

But a second strike from Demi Wisher and excellent long range effort from Tia Mennell killed off the threat.

Farsley really turned on the style in the last quarter of the game with some excellent passing play involving Charlotte Clarke, Tiegan Mcgill, and Charlotte Barran.

The final goal came in the last few minutes with a passing move that involved every farsley player on the pitch and was knocked in by
Charlotte Barran.

Charlotte Barron.
