Work to end knife crime in Leeds continues
Dozens of floral tributes were laid at the scene in Harehills Lane in the days following the stabbing in 2017, before funeral prayers and a day of vigils were held to promote peace and unity in the face of the tragedy.
And a year on, police are preparing for a week of activity across West Yorkshire to warn all young people against carrying knives.

Hide AdIt will culminate next Saturday when police and others come together in Harehills to spread the #StopKnifeCrime message.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Gibson said: “Carrying a knife is never the answer – knives take lives and if you carry a knife, you risk being sent to prison and increase your chances of being seriously injured or killed.”
