Met Office Leeds weather forecast: When Leeds can expect some October sun

For many, the countdown to Christmas is already on, whereas others are focused on Halloween celebrations ahead of October 31. This time of year is not commonly associated with sunshine, instead it is generally associated with low temperatures and pumpkins.

Those who ran in the Leeds Abbey Dash yesterday had to do so in the rain and they may be ruing the fact the event was not held off for an extra day or two. Although the city does look set to enjoy some sun, it will not be a August-like heatwave.

Temperatures will not be rocketing and there is still some rain being predicted. It also looks like there will be plenty of cloudy spells for the last week before November arrives.

Monday

Monday will begin cloudy before giving way to sunny intervals that will last throughout the afternoon, with the exception of a spell of outright sun at 1pm. However, there will be light showers in the evening. Highs of 15C are expected.

Tuesday

Tuesday looks set to be cloudy through the day and rainy at night. The Met Office is predicting highs of 15C.

Wednesday

There will be sunny intervals after a cloudy start and highs of 17C.

Thursday

Thursday looks set to be overcast throughout with highs of 17C.

Friday

The working week will be rounded off with clouds and highs of 16C.
