As part of the Yorkshire Evening Post's Call It Out campaign an open letter has been penned on behalf of the black, Asian and minority ethnic primary care leaders in England and their allies.

"We are writing in response to the worrying rise of incidences of racial and religious intolerance seen in recent weeks.

"This has seen some sections of our communities coming unfairly under the spotlight, under the false notion that they are somehow to blame for the spread of coronavirus.
