Leeds University student union and nightlife praised by Which? survey
A new survey published today by Which? University also rates it as being in the top five best “all-rounder” universities in the country.
The findings from 11,000 students surveyed suggest students should head North for fun and South for politics.

Hide AdThe new research, conducted by YouthSight on behalf of Which? University, reveals the top universities in the UK for nightlife, sports, student unions, and politics and creative scenes, as ranked by current students in more than 100 universities across the UK.
Universities across the north came out on top for nightlife, while those in the south topped the ratings for their creative and political scenes. Northumbria and Newcastle Universities were rated highest by students for nightlife.
Leeds University was rated fourth but was also rated top for its student union.
Students voted the University of East Anglia, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Sheffield as the best all-rounder universities, those which scored highly across all of the survey categories.

Hide AdLeeds University came top for “the most active” student union and Loughborough the most sporty.

“Whether that’s supporting students to participate in one of our 320 clubs and societies, empowering them to campaign on the issues that matter to them or encouraging them to run for a leadership position, we’re here to make sure students love their time at Leeds and work tirelessly with partners across the city to ensure that’s the case.”
