Just the job! Leeds students get all the answers at big interview
Organised by the Esh Group construction company, the day saw a range of firms giving pupils aged from 14 to 17 an insight into the world of work by putting them through mock interviews.
Some of the firms involved even had real vacancies on offer for the assembled students from David Young and other schools across Yorkshire, including Leeds’s Co-operative Academy and Allerton High.

Companies backing Building My Skills include Yorkshire Water, Safe Move, Campfire PR, Yorkshire Housing, Leap Enterprise, Jewson and P&HS Architects.
Andy Gawthorpe, regional managing director of Esh Group, thanked all of those involved with the programme for their support.
He said: “This initiative provides much needed training in workplace skills to thousands of young people. Without other businesses being willing to be involved this wouldn’t be possible.
