Horsforth set for Walk of Art festival this weekend
Hundreds of people visited the town last July when more than 70 artists, writers, musicians and craftsmen and women exhibited their work.
This year’s event will see community exhibitions, hands on activities and music on four colour-coded routes throughout the town from 10 am to 4pm on Saturday July 2 and Sunday 3.

Hide AdThere will be more than 100 official stops on the map featuring free art exhibitions with hands on activities for all ages.
And there will be 50 decorated horses to spot on the Walk of Art.
The festival kicks off with a launch night at St Margaret’s Church on Church Lane from 7pm this Friday featuring a lights display to classical music.
The evening will also include food vans and a family friendly disco.

Hide AdAt 7.20pm the Walk of Art will join events around Yorkshire where people will be invited to dance to the same track at the same time as part of the ‘Big Disco’.
Music will be a major part of this year’s event, with 21 live acts performing over the weekend. High Street Galleries will be exhibiting work from all Horsforth schools following collaborations with more than 25 local and Leeds-based artists.
Event organiser Lara Rule, said: “The Walk of Art is a free to participate festival of creativity and community spirit. We receive no outside funding and no artists are paid for their time. Everyone has given their expertise freely.
