Motorbike seized by Leeds police as residents report 'nuisance bikes and quads' in Calverley

It happened in fields near Calverley over the weekend.
After receiving complaints from the public, officers from the Off Road Bike Team and Leeds West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) carried out a joint operation.
Three bikes were riding on fields near the village, police said, where vehicles are not permitted.

Hide AdOfficers caught two bikes in the field while a third rider escaped from police.
In a statement issued on social media, a spokesperson for the Leeds West NPT said: "Due to the increased reports of nuisance bikes and quads on bunny fields in Calverley, the Off Road Bike Team and Team 2 NPT have conducted a joint operation.
"Two bikes were stopped in the field and another unfortunately got away.
"The two riders that were stopped where fully insured taxed and tested however due to them riding where not permitted, one rider was issued with a section 59 warning and the other rider's bike was seized due to previously having been warned."
