Large kitchen knife hidden in carrier bag found in Harehills police drug and weapon search
PCSO Chatband from the West Yorkshire Police Leeds East team found the knife when conducting a search for drugs and weapons along the Harehills Road area.
On January 22, the officer found the large kitchen knife hidden in a wooden pallet wrapped in a carrier bag whilst searching the junction of Ashton Street and Harehills Road.
The knife was seized for destruction.

Hide AdA Facebook post from the West Yorkshire Police Leeds East team said: "On the evening of 22nd January 2021, PCSO Chatband was conducting a search for drugs and weapons along the area of Harehills Road.
"Whilst searching the junction of Ashton Street and Harehills Road, a large kitchen knife was located hidden in a wooden pallet wrapped in a carrier bag.
"The knife was seized for destruction and intelligence was recorded.
"East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Teams will continue to conduct further checks of the area with the aim of taking more drugs and weapons off the streets, to keep communities safe and feeling safe."
