£20,000 project to replace gas pipes in Starbeck to begin soon
The £20,000 investment is part of Northern Gas Network’s ongoing project to replace existing metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes.
The works in Starbeck, which will replace the mains between the junction with Station View and the level crossing, will start on August 4 and last for one week.

Hide AdStop and go boards will be used to control traffic throughout the day, while temporary three-way traffic lights will be used at all other times.
Steve Goodwin, Site Manager for Northern Gas Networks said: “We have been working closely with North Yorkshire County Council to carefully plan these works in order to minimise any disruption to customers.
“We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these works, and thank our customers for their patience and support in getting them completed as quickly as possible.”
