A Farsley headteacher has scooped a teaching "Oscar" for his dedication to the profession.

Peter Harris, head of Farsley Farfield Primary, was named a winner during the North of England finals of the annual Teaching Awards.

Mr Harris was given the Becta Award for Next Generation Learning. He was congratulated with transforming his school and using the latest technology to capture the imaginations of staff and pupils alike.
