A man whose daughter died of meningitis 16 years ago is supporting a fundraising event in Farsley as part of Meningitis UK's "Search 4 a vaccine campaign".
Robert Birsdall lost his 15-year-old daughter to the condition in January 1992 and has spent 15 years fundraising and increasing awareness.

On Saturday, April 19, there will be a fundraising event at the Manor Function Suite in Farsley.

On the night there will be entertainment, food, raffles and auctions.

Tickets cost £3 and donations for the raffles and auctions are welcome.

* Contact Mr Birsdall on 07527 760361 or email Stephen Speight at: steveleeds1@msn.com
