It is a joint initative between the Pudsey Nieghbourhood Policing Team and the Domestic Violence Unit to help raise awareness and target those suspected of committing domestic violence.

PC Louise Jones, beat manager for Farsley, Calverley and Rodley, said: "I would like to thank both clubs for supporting this campaign.

"I hope that through the players and managers wearing the ribbons, we will succeed in highlighting the issue to fans that domestic violence will not be tolerated."

Farsley Celtic director and secretary Martin Carrington said the club gave its full support to the campaign

"We are very keen as a community football team to work with the local community and the local police," he said.
