Farsley Celtic Vixens U-10s girls returned from Rothwell Juniors' Gala with a runners-up medal after battling through to the final.

* Click here to become a fan of Farsley Today on Facebook.The Vixens had the honour of playing in the first ever competitive match on the 3G artificial pitches at Rothwell's brand new £1.5million Fleet Lane development, taking on Wigton Moor in the tournament's opening game.
* Click here for latest Farsley news.That finished goalless and was followed by another 0-0 draw against Mapplewell Mavericks before Lucy Donnelly's well-taken goal helped them to victory against host team Rothwell.
Farsley then went down 1-0 to Hemsworth Miners Welfare, leaving them needing a result against Batley Juniors to qualify for the semi-finals.
Katie Clark, who was making an impressive debut for the Vixens, scored to set up a rematch with Batley in the semis.
The Vixens repeated the 1-0 scoreline against Batley, the winning goal this time coming from Katie Leeming.
But in the end it wasn't to be the Vixens' day and despite giving it all and having a good share of the possession a single first-half goal gave Hemsworth the trophy.
