Ramon Nunez, Tom Lees, Adam Clayton, Andy Keogh, Darren O'Dea, Andros Townsend, Michael Brown and Danny Webber all scored their first goal for the club during the Whites second season back in the Championship. The 2011/12 campaign initially saw the club challenging for the play-offs positions but a poor run of form resulted in a 14th position finish. A turbulent February saw reserve team manager Neil Redfearn put in charge of the team for four games with manager Simon Grayson relieved of his duties and replaced by Neil Warnock.
