Farsley Celtic 4
Weymouth 2.
How ironic that Farsley Celtic's form should hit a new low, yet they collected three precious points off relegation rivals Weymouth.
Manager John Deacey has bemoaned the Celts' bad luck so often this season, but even he had to admit Lady Luck was very much on his team's side as they fought back twice to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Deacey said: "It was an horrendous performance – so sloppy from the first minute to the 90th.

"We didn't really deserve the result but we've outplayed many teams this year without getting the right results so it was nice to have luck on our side for a change."

Deacey added: "We made mistakes all over the park, giving the ball away cheaply and leaving ourselves an uphill challenge.

"I've got to give credit to the side, though, because they were very determined and didn't know when they were beaten.
"Weymouth were excellent but we were lucky and got out of jail with a bit of magic from Roy Stamer.

"After the break they went 2-1 up and although some good changes got us to 4-2 we didn't play well.

"Dominic Krief really tried his best to dominate the midfield and he did well for us but we were just sloppy.

"It was a great header from David McNiven. I think he caused them problems and he's pushing for a place in the starting 11. He has been on at me that he wants to be involved from the start and he is getting there.

"Those three points were massive for us. I don't care how we win them – it's got to be the results that matter now. I don't care who goes down instead of us, though I wouldn't want it to be Halifax Town because they are a local side. I'll take anybody at the moment."

Weymouth led with a goal by Antony Bedeau after only 11 minutes.

Stamer equalised with a neat run and finish before half-time but
Weymouth were back in front on 54 minutes when Simon Weatherstone was
left unmarked from Bedeau's cross.

Farsley had a let-off when James Coutts shot against a post before substitute McNiven equalised on 68 minutes.

Mark Jackson shot Celtic ahead for the first time and there was no way back for Weymouth when Damien Reeves intercepted a back-pass to net his 14th goal of the season with two minutes left.

Weymouth manager John Hollins said: "If you create 10 chances, which is what we did, you've got to take more than two. It's all about finishing.
"It would have been nice to have taken three points or one. We didn't, but we are still fighting."
