Farsley Celtic boss Neil Parsley is targeting victory at Corby Town this weekend.
The Throstle Nest outfit take an impressive run of five consecutive victories into the game, following Wednesday's 2-1 win over FC Halifax Town in the West Riding County Cup.

Two goals from Simeon Bambrook gave the Celts a comfortable lead before former Farsley player Kevin Sanasy pulled one back for the visitors in the final 10 minutes.

Parsley, whose men must travel to Garforth Town in the quarter-finals of the County Cup, knows what to expect from a Corby side which won 2-1 at Throstle Nest just over a month ago.

And he believes if the Celts repeat the performance from their 5-2 win over Droylsden in the last round, Farsley have a chance.

Parsley said: "I'm expecting a difficult test but, having said that, it was nip and tuck when we played them at our ground last month, so I'm envisaging a close encounter again.

"If we play the way we have been doing we have a chance.

"The Trophy takes away the pressures of the league and we hope to produce the same again like we did in the last round against Droylsden.

"They have some decent players, but have made four changes since we last played them. We had watched on Wednesday at AFC Telford to see what they've got."

Farsley's financial woes are well documented – the club started the season on -10 points after going into administration in the summer – and Parsley admits the prize money is the main motivation for the Celts.

But, the manager is concentrating on continuing the fine form they have displayed on the pitch in the last few weeks.

He said: "The financial rewards are the main benefit for the club. From my point of view, though, I'm there to focus on setting the team up for the game.

"We will try to keep the run going but, if we don't, we will go again at Hyde next week."
