John Deacey is hoping former manager Lee Sinnott gets a good reception when he returns to Farsley Celtic with Port Vale on Tuesday night.
Sinnott led the Celts to three promotions in four seasons before leaving Throstle Nest for Port Vale last November and Deacey said: "He deserves a decent crowd.
Lee Sinnott expects Celts to bounce back: Click here for full interview."My thoughts on Lee Sinnott are well documented – Farsley Celtic wouldn't be in the position they are today without Lee Sinnott.
"I have said it all before, about what he has done for this football club. He has brought professionalism to the club, and the fanbase we now have is largely down to Lee.
"He brought the club from the UniBond League First Division and turned it into a Conference club.
"It will be great to see him again and welcome Port Vale to Throstle Nest."
Tuesday will be the first chance Vale fans get to see their summer recruits, while Deacey has also been busy in the close season as the Celts aim to bounce back to the Conference at the first attempt following relegation.
Deacey moved swiftly to sign midfielders Craig Bentham and Tom Penford from Bradford City and full-back Jamie Price from Harrogate Town, and he completed a move for Ossett Town striker James Walshaw on Thursday night while also snapping up former Leeds United, Halifax Town and Altrincham winger Justin Bowler.
Deacey said: "I am really pleased to have signed James – you should see him in training.
"He has been superb. He has been right up there with the rest of the players and I am well pleased with him.
"I think we have made some bloody good signings. And the actual calibre of the people who have rung me and shown an interest in coming to the club has been really high.
"I am happy with the way the squad is taking shape. Competition for places is going to be very, very strong. I could just do with one more forward now and that's it really."
Farsley have now finalised their pre-season programme.
After Tuesday's visit of Port Vale, they entertain Sheffield United on July 15 and Bradford City on July 16.
Leeds United reserves visit Throstle Nest on July 22, with Grimsby arriving on July 25 and Lincoln City on July 26.
Farsley then travel to neighbours Bradford Park Avenue on July 30 before finishing up at Bridlington Town on Saturday, August 2.
Meanwhile, Farsley have been drawn at home to Blue Square North rivals Workington in the first round of the Setanta Shield.
Elsewhere in the northern section, Harrogate Town will host league newcomers Fleetwood Town.
