Farsley Celtic boss Neil Parsley has been reunited with a former team-mate after drafting in Steve Dickinson to replace the departed Curtis Aspden as goalkeeper.

Parsley was ending his playing days – after spells at Leeds, West Brom and Huddersfield – with Guiseley when Dickinson was their young keeper.

When Parsley was later manager, Dickinson returned for a second spell at Nethermoor.

"Steve has agreed to join us and I'm delighted that he has," said Parsley.

"Unfortunately it is as a replacement for Curtis because we were not able to offer him terms that were acceptable to him. This club cannot offer deals like it did when it was in the Conference the season before last, so we have to cut our cloth accordingly."
