The comprehensive drubbing was consistent with a season that also saw the team lift the Lancit Haulage Lancashire League Cup when they beat Workington Reserves 2-1 at Borough Park.

In front of over 220 supporters, with a small contingent making the long journey from Leeds, Farsley came from behind to secure victory thanks to goals from Nick Smith and Chris Thackray.

A mix of youth and experience overcame the home side who gave an excellent account of themselves but in the end folded to Farsley's superiority.

In a nip and tuck game, Celtic went behind early on but emerged from the half time team talk refreshed and eager to make amends.

Over the second 45 minutes, they eventually took charge to ensure more silverware was heading back to West Yorkshire.

And thanks to the management team of Glenn Walton, Harvey Dean and Mark Jackson that the youngsters continue to flourish and prosper with the emergence of many prospective first-teamers of the future.
