The Blues

Against depleted oppostion Farsley soon took the lead through Sam Morrell.

Playing with a good tempo the blues passed the ball around, controlling the game completely.

Further goals from Tom Forrest, Chris Manning, as well as a hat-trick for Jacob Cruddace plus two more from Sam Morrell to complete his hat trick meant Celtic went into the break eight goals to the good.

However in the second half their passing game disintergrated as they struggled to dominate.

When blues clicked, the movement and passing were top class, and they scored four more times through Jacob Cruddace (3) and Matty Jones.

Special mention goes to callum greaves and deccy groves for playing their positions for the team.

Man-of-the-match: Jacob Cruddace, a seven goal salvo and a five star performance.

Team: Ben Harris, Chris Manning, Declan Groves, Matty Jones, Tom Forrest, Sam Morrell, Jacob Cruddace, Callum Greaves.

The Whites

Playing into the wind, the Whites seemed to struggle with the conditions and a strong Middleton Park team.

Farsley fell behind to a break-away goal from their attack.

Without ever getting into top gear Farsley clawed their way back into the game with an equaliser from Matty Rudd.

The Whites then went from strength to strength to pressurise the away defence, going into the interval 2-1 to the good with a goal by Joe Bennett.

In the early part of the second half farsley looked off the pace, and middleton nearly equalised through a goal line scramble, Jake Lowthorpe, Jacob Morton and Zac Rostron proving too resiliant for the attack.

By getting the ball down and playing out on the flanks celtic went a further three goals in front through Joe Bennett (2) and Sam Ford, before Sam rounded off the scoring to make it six.
