Showing great character against a bigger, stronger Leeds side Farsley came close to equalising when Dominic Staunton hit the crossbar with a great free kick.

Jack Reed had a shot well saved by the Leeds Keeper before Dale Harriman outpaced the Leeds defence and cooly slotted past the goalie to make the score 1-1 at the break.

Farsley came close to taking the lead when Jamie hall had a shot well saved, then after a sweeping move a header tipped over.

Tim Kenway was a constant threat and shot just wide when well placed but Leeds always looked dangerous on the break and after surviving some intense Farsley pressure broke away to take the lead again.

Liam Strangeway, Harry Stirk and Luke Kitson defended superbly but were powerless to stop the powerful Leeds side running riot in the last 15 minutes and the final score was 1-6.

The game summed up Farsley's season perfectly, they again passed the ball superbly, and were more than a match for Leeds City in football terms, but were undone by lack of numbers and a lack of pace and height in the team.

Roll on summer and a major growth spurt for all the team!
